Here is our story

We are a surf club in the traditional sense but we are also a little bit unique. We originated on Folly Beach, SC and Folly isn't the best place in the world for waves if you know what I mean. Sure we get some surfable waves, and even some really good days, but you have to be on it to get it good in Carolina and it usually doesn't stick around very long. We used to scoff at the local dudes who would "claim" Folly and give us shit when we paddled out on our "%$#&ing Longboards." As a result we started surfing down the beach to avoid that whole scene. We also started travelling as much as possible...El Salvador, Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica (including season long stints), Nicaragua, Californina, Hawaii, Bahamas, Australia, France etc.

Why?

You know why. Because surfers with no waves tend to get a little eggy and we were no exception. For the past 10 years our core group of friends have been packing boards and boarding planes searching out perfect surf. And when we come back to "Macho Beach" to see knee high choppy death, we always start planning our next trip. There always has to be a next trip. These trips motivated us to create a club....like-minded surfers with a goal stamping our passports.

To join the club is actually quite easy. Plan a passport stamping surf trip with two existing members. From there its up to those members to nominate you (and your dream) to the club. If you get enough approval votes your in......so long as you actually go on the trip, paddle out and catch a few waves. Its a surfing club afterall.

Why join?

Our club is young but we are growing each season with new members from all over the globe. We are building a network of friends on some of the best beaches, points and reefs out there.........our goal is to establish a surfing network that will enhance our travel experiences as we seek out the world's best waves. We are going to have Macho Beach Noseriders all over the world. Have fun claiming the "peak" at home because we'll be "broi-ng down" with the locals, ice cold brews in hand, living the dream in a tropical paradise.

We are based in Folly but we have also carved out quite a reputation on the beaches of Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica. We intend to continue our growth. Chances are, sooner or later, some beer-chugging, sunburned maniacs are going to be on your beach, laughing like kids and busting out sick noserides on the inside section of your sandbar. When you see us, hopefully you will recognize us and buy us a round of beers; we are the crew having too much fun...at the cantina and in the water.

And maybe, if you are lucky, you will see a Macho Dusting and thus some dillhole entering our club.
